Welcome to Haverford
A serene, walkable community on the Main Line.
Haverford is a serene township full of walkable neighborhoods and easy access to the vibrant commercial districts of neighboring towns. It’s part of the Philadelphia Main Line, making it a sought-after location for those who want easy access to the city while still enjoying all the charms of a smaller community. With serene residential areas and fun things to do, it’s the perfect mix of quiet and excitement.
From its early beginnings, Haverford was an agrarian community full of farms and mills. However, at the turn of the 20th century, the railroad arrived and transformed it into a suburban community on the outskirts of ever-growing Philadelphia. Golf courses and other amenities followed quickly, establishing Haverford as a prime location for those who wanted more space on the edge of the city.
The majority of Haverford is populated by single-family homes, though residents can also find townhouses and condos available if they so desire. Beautiful stone and brick Colonial homes dominate the tree-lined streets of this serene community.
